i dont like the Christian holidays, they are creepy and forceful. NOT everybody celebrates Christmas or holds Christian beliefs but that is incomprehensible to them.
i am just happy most of the hypocrites have replaced Jesus with Santa haha

but i did just spend the holiday in San Diego, which i loved! it is like San Fransisco and Los Angeles mixed together. if i ever leave LA (i dont want to EVER leave LA!) i would live there.

hopefully my next trip will be to Vancouver!

yesterday i was walking down the street in Echo Park and this very noir and stylish guy says to me in a very old Hollywood moment ~ "You look lovely this evening."
it was weird, not only because a stranger talked to me but it was only 2pm in the afternoon and definitely was not the evening :(

i am perplexed, can it still count as a sweet thing to say if someone who says it cant tell the difference between day time and night time? haha
i guess there always has to be something a little off about everything :(

a dogsitter moved into the house behind our house! we share a driveway, so it is a dog parade day and night! ahhhhh
i dont like dogs that much (or at all) and my poor cat is so scared of dogs. what a nighmare!

for my birthday we went to The Magic Castle , which is this private club for magicians.

it was absolutely over the fucking top! magicians sulking around this Victorian mansion, we played a game "Magician or Goth" haha
it was amazing! the shows were magical!

and yes i like to think it is really MAGIC and not tricks :P

when i first came to LA , 8 years ago, i went to a bar called the Rainbow. A notorious bar on the SUnset Strip where 80's hair-metal NEVER died.
not the re-visited 80's look but these people were the originals.

so i recently went back to the Rainbow, it was amazing!!! again NOTHING had changed!
there were also alot of people in their 20's; the new generation of buttrockers!
sooo crazy!

i also saw Kat Von D from Miami Ink there, and she is so beautiful in real life and surprisingly really skinny!
tv weight distortion sucks.

i love LA for all these crazy bizarre things!

this is a story a friend told me today...

she was at a party last weekend and was making eyes with this cute tall guy with shaggy brown hair...
they didnt get a chance to talk that night :(
but the following day she talked to one of their mutual friends, described him and expressed interest in him.
the other friend says "oh, i just talked to him, he likes you too! i will give him your phone number."
so exciting!
he calls her, they make plans to go to a show last night, he will pick her up.
last night she opens up her front door and standing in front of her is a complete stranger, not the guy she liked at the party! but some other guy who was there but she didnt even notice.
she was mortified. she didnt tell him he was the wrong guy, went out with him anyway. the worst was he was under the impression she liked him. haha

what an uncomfortable mistake!!

the fire in Griffith Park is sooo close to my house.
it has been burning the LA hills, it looked like lava. it was surreal that it was fire!
one day and a half later and it is only 50% contained.

it is sad and stinky. yesterday the sky was filled with red smoke. the poor animals with no homes!

tonight out on the sidewalk at the end of my street, there was a vintage 1960's bedframe, crome with white vinyl cushions as the headboard.
and now it is mine!

my new bedframe makes me feel like i am one of the Jetsons!

Dave and his band are in a plane right now on the way to MOscow. holy holy then a 2month tour in Europe. they are playing a festival with Of MOntreal (i wish i could be there!!!)

if only i kept up with my guitar lessons, i could be an international star haha

so 2months by myself huh?
this means shopping without throwing the receipts out the window, eating chocolate for dinner and staying out all night!

my house is sooo scary at night!
anyone want to have a platonic sleepover?

ps. last night my neighbors had a party with a "jumping castle" in the backyard, i practically had to tie myself to the radiator to not go out and jump! move over 5year olds!

the Christian Death 1334 show is tonight. Eva O is singing for Rozz and they have some original members and Rozz related people in the band. it is the 25th anniversary of Only Theatre of Pain.
my first reaction to this tribute was "gross"

for me, Rozz Williams was Christian Death.
and someone very important wont be there tonight....

keeping my cat confined is awful. she is constantly flopping around and has meowed herself mute, but for this horrible gurgling meow :(
it is soooo sad. it is breaking my heart.

this is amazing, when i was buying her little condo/confinement unit at Petco, the price ($95.00) wasnt scanning in , so the cashier/manager was like "well it has no price , so i will just give it to you" whoa!
that was so kind.
i was at first a little worried i would get hit by a car out in the parking lot,
but i didnt, i guess i deserve a break :)

i worked on a crazy wardrobe project, with my friend (who is their stylist) .....
handsewing 14000 pearly buttons onto 2suits.
this is the result:

my poor kitty

this morning my little silver kitten got attacked by an 80pound Pitbull.
she slipped out of the door when the UPS guy came, and my neighbour, who is usually never home in the day, was out in the driveway with her monster dog. the dog saw her, immediately started chasing her, then grabbed her in his mouth and shook her around. she scratched his face, so he let her go then chased her around until the owner caught him. :(
i found her in a pile by the backdoor, all wet and crying. soooo traumatizing!
we rushed her to the pet hospital. the vet there said he couldnt do anything for her as her injuries were too bad so he referred us to a specialty animal hospital. so she is there now, doped up on pain medication awaiting surgery to repair her shoulder and re-attach her arm that is badly broken and out of the socket. she is broken in such a way that she has to be confined for 6weeks while it is healing. Boxing Silvie :(
the cost of the surgery is so ridiculous and outrageous. i have been crying like a crazy person.

just one dumb second. just awful timing.
she has been slowing going outside under my supervision, so when she slipped out it didnt seem like a big deal. how could we know that the dog next door is vicious and cat hungry?
i know we are lucky she is not dead, or more injured.
i am sooooooo sad and mad too.

as if i need another reason to not like dogs. actually i fucking hate dogs!!!!!
